Keem's Dream was born from a profound loss and a commitment to create lasting positive change. Following the passing of Hakeem Musleh on February 18, 2022, his family and loved ones set out to honor his life by transforming grief into purpose, service, and hope for others.
Inspired by Hakeem's compassion, generosity, and love for his community, Keem's Dream was established to support individuals and families facing trauma, violence, grief, and life's most difficult challenges. What began as a vision to preserve his legacy has grown into a community-centered organization dedicated to healing, empowerment, and meaningful impact.
Based in Vallejo, California, and serving communities throughout Solano County, Keem's Dream provides trauma-informed peer support, community violence intervention, advocacy, education, outreach, and resource connection. Through our work, we strive to help individuals build resilience, access support, and discover pathways toward healing and personal growth.
Led by a dedicated team of co-founders, Keem's Dream is grounded in lived experience, compassion, and a belief that every person deserves dignity, support, and the opportunity to thrive. We work alongside community members, local organizations, healthcare providers, schools, and public agencies to strengthen community wellness and create safer, healthier, and more connected communities.
In 2023, Keem's Dream was officially recognized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, further strengthening our ability to serve and support those in need. Today, every program, partnership, and act of service reflects our ongoing commitment to honoring Hakeem's legacy through action, compassion, and lasting community impact.
Honoring a Legacy. Inspiring Hope. Creating Change.
